Hippobags

In addition to traditional skip hire, we also offer Hippobags. These are convenient and cost-effective alternatives to traditional skips. Available in three different sizes (1, 4 and 8 cubic yards), you can purchase a Hippobag directly from us and we will collect it from your location when it's full.

Waste Management & The Environment

At Skip Hire Somerset, we are committed to minimising the amount of waste that ends up in landfill. We use a combination of recycling and energy recovery processes to ensure that as much waste as possible is reused or turned into energy.

The Energy Way

Our Energy Way process involves sorting through the waste collected from our skips and identifying materials that can be recycled. Materials such as wood, metal and plastics are then sent for recycling. Other waste is sent to our energy recovery facilities, where it is converted into energy for electricity generation and heating.

Waste Use

We also work with local businesses to use waste as a resource. For example, we provide wood waste to local farmers as animal bedding, and cardboard and paper waste to local packaging companies.
